Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Rhodes Island's Scraper Sniper and Thrower Arrives.

Seeing Kanna enter, Touch nodded to her, then raised a finger to her lips, making a shushing gesture.

Kanna quietly walked over and sat down, looking at "Rosmontis" (who didn't have that name yet) lying in Touch's arms, her face filled with pain.

Although she wanted to help, Kanna herself lacked the relevant skills and knowledge, so she could only sit there helplessly, watching the suffering Feline.

As the convoy began to drive back, she saw the Feline's eyelids twitch, her breathing becoming heavy, and she gradually began to wake up.

The Feline, upon waking, was extremely terrified, finding herself once again in an unfamiliar vehicle with various medical instruments in its interior. Suddenly, a surge of anger ignited in her mind; she wanted to destroy all the medical instruments before her.

Along with her thoughts, an inexplicable "being" appeared inside the compartment, beginning to distort the surrounding environment.

Sensing something was wrong, Kanna kicked open the car door, then hugged the Feline and leaped out of the vehicle.

With their departure, the distorted situation inside the car began to ease.

The condition of the medical vehicle was quickly noticed by others in the convoy, which immediately stopped. Outcast led her team to surround Kanna and the Feline.

Feeling the immense "distortion" emanating from beside her, Kanna gently shook her head. If it were an ordinary person, they would probably have been crushed into a pulp by now.

She really didn't know how Rhodes Island managed to safely bring her back to the ship in the game.

"Don't come any closer yet... she's mentally unstable, and you'll agitate her like this." Kanna shouted to the surrounding Operators.

Hearing Kanna's words, everyone immediately stopped.

At this moment, Touch walked out of the car, looking shaken.

"What's going on?" Outcast asked, somewhat confused by the panicked expressions of those who had come out of the medical vehicle.

"Phew! See for yourself! I knew Kal'tsit wouldn't let me come along for nothing; sure enough, this little Feline is trouble." After a light sigh and calming herself, Touch looked at Kanna and the Feline in the distance and said.

Outcast walked to the car door and looked inside; almost 80% of the medical equipment was damaged, either torn to shreds or twisted into a mess.

After seeing the situation inside the car, Outcast couldn't help but feel shocked.

Meanwhile, after Kanna brought the Feline out of the car, she hugged her head and gently patted her seemingly delicate shoulders.

"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, we've escaped, no one will hurt you anymore. Be good, learn with me, deep breaths, come, in~hale~ex~hale..."

With Kanna's comfort, the Feline gradually let go of her fear. She nervously leaned against Kanna, looking at the surrounding Operators and couldn't help but squeeze Kanna's shoulder. When she saw Touch wanting to come over and check on the situation, she trembled slightly again.

Touch also noticed something amiss in the Feline's eyes, so she stopped at a distance, puzzled. She had never met this little one, so why would she be afraid of her?

Kanna stroked the Feline's ears, then put her arm around her, preventing her from seeing Touch.

At this moment, Outcast walked over. When she was about five meters away from Kanna and the Feline, Kanna raised her hand to stop her.

"Don't come any closer yet; her ability is very strange and powerful. I'm not confident I can safely get you out if she loses control again."

Hearing Kanna's words, Outcast stopped. She noticed that the ground where Kanna and the Feline were standing had sunk several centimeters. Even though Kanna appeared normal, her tightly clinging clothes showed she was under immense pressure.

"Do you know what's going on?" Outcast asked, pointing at Touch and then at the Feline in Kanna's arms.

Kanna only spoke after the Feline had calmed down and the pressure on her body had gradually lessened.

"I suspect she's not afraid of Auntie Touch, but rather her uniform, or perhaps a certain insignia."

Although Kanna recalled some of Rosmontis's background, she couldn't state it directly, as she couldn't explain how she knew. She could only hint to the others in a speculative tone.

Hearing Kanna's words, Touch looked down at herself. Her uniform was a standard Rhodes Island combat uniform, similar to Outcast's, with no special insignia... except for... She suddenly remembered something, and her face instantly turned very grim.

Then she cursed, "Don't let me find out what those bastards did, or I won't be able to resist stuffing them all into a cesspit and drowning them."

While cursing, Touch raised her right hand to her left shoulder and tore off the red cross armband that symbolized the medical team.

Indeed, after Touch threw away the armband and slowly approached, it did not provoke the Feline's fear. This added a layer of sadness and pain to Touch's already grim expression.

What kind of harm must a little girl have suffered to harbor such deep resentment towards medical personnel? This brought shame to her, a fellow medical professional.

After about half an hour, Kanna finally gestured for them to approach. Once they did, they saw the child had fallen unconscious again due to weakness and extensive use of Originium Arts.

Having learned of her taboo, they subsequently removed all medical-related items from the medical vehicle, or blocked off those that couldn't be removed, before placing her back in the vehicle.

And after learning that Kanna was unaffected by her Originium Arts, Outcast still had Kanna remain by the Feline's side, so that if another problem arose, Kanna could at least serve as an extra safeguard.

After some twists and turns, the convoy resumed its journey back.

They hadn't gone far when Kanna's ears twitched, and she looked out the window behind them.

"What's wrong?" After Kanna's life-saving act earlier, Touch no longer treated her as a child, so she asked when she noticed her unusual behavior.

"Someone's following us: three SUVs, seven motorcycles, and they're all armed." Even though the visibility inside the car wasn't great, Kanna accurately spotted the unknown individuals several kilometers behind, heading towards the convoy.

Hearing Kanna's words, Touch immediately contacted Outcast.

The convoy then drove to a canyon, continuing into it, when several Operators abruptly jumped out of the vehicles.

After exiting the vehicles, these Operators quickly hid in the mountain forests on both sides of the canyon.
