Chapter 15 - The Twilight of the Unknown

There was a star that shined brightly. It wasn't any ordinary star though. It was a summoning known as the [Stardust Summoning].

It was a starry sky while Miya flew around the planet in matter of seconds. She was bored that she had went around the planet at least ten times in that timespan.

Miya noticed one star in particular that caught her attention. It was the [Stardust Summoning] process, looking for someone to summon from the otherworlds and bringing them here.

She sighed and started hopping in between dimensions and the dimensional barrier.

As Miya flies between the dimensional barrier, she started to notice a streamline that is connected.

Huh? A streamline? This must be connected to our multiverse, but what is it connected too? This is mildly interesting... Miya starts flying to find where it connects.

The streamline is a metaphysical connection and bridge between multiverses. Miya had noticed this as another multiverse had appeared. It was all actually going up and down like in an hourglass.

Her eyes widened in surprise as she glances ahead, seeing more multiverses after another.

This is weird, more multiverses? How can that be... she wonders about the thought of more multiverses existing, and it had completely baffled her.

It was in a form of a transcendental multiverses over one and another. She glances around, it had seemed like an "infinite" amount of space, but that's what her eyes can perceive.

She flew back to her multiverse and back down to the Physical Realm. It had weirded her out a bit, but also surprised her.

"If many multiverses exists, then... I would assume that the empty space of absolute nothingness exists outside of all it. It's truly unknown, but it's quite remarkable." Miya murmurs to herself.

Is it truly called the empty space of absolute nothingness? Or is that what it's known as, but its real name is unknown...? Her mind wanders to that thought, curious about the name of the said empty space.

Miya roamed around, looking for a library or a place that has information on these unknown spaces.

She noticed a large structure in the distance, and then walked towards it. It was a Sanctuary.

Miya step foot inside, but it was empty. No one was inside besides the librarian. She was an old lady who looked like she had sat there for a hundred years without moving. Her librarian uniform was old and dirty, not washed either.

That librarian... is she alive? She isn't moving... the chances that she could be dead is high. Although, her skin is still there... magic that stops rotten skin from happening? Or... is it something else? Her thoughts wandered to the old librarian as she walked towards her.

"Hey! You awake?" she taps the librarian as her body crumbles into pieces and blood overflowing.

What? There's still blood...? Smells fresh too.. she crumbled like old wood and not so reinforced concrete, but her skin and blood is still fresh. That's concerning... She examines the librarian, trying to see if there's a way to remove the magic.

She puts her hand over the librarian's body and head as she removes the magic from the corpse. The skin disappears, leaving only bones.

The sun risen up as well as the morning roosters. Miya sighs as she looks through the Sanctuary.

This must be an old library if it looks like this. So abandoned and dead. Nobody came here to rebuild it either. She glances at the different books, but couldn't find any.

The more she searched, the more she fails to find anything.

"No books on space... so I'm assuming everything about space and worlds are removed completely from this library." she murmurs to herself as she leaves the Sanctuary.

She scratches her head, confused as she continued walking. Miya stretches as she yawns.

Miya continued to wander around, and the farthur she walked, the less cities she sees. She had entered the vast land of the desert, and continued to walk.

The sun was beaming on her.

This is where Babylon is... haven't been here in awhile. Maybe they know anything or at least have some information on the void. Her thoughts remained determined. She walked through the gates of Babylon and the citizens waves at her.

Miya waved back, while one stared. The figure stared and went back to minding their own business while she walked by.

"Hm? That magical force... it's powerful, not in the mood right now to fight, but if it's an enemy, I'll have to regardless.." Miya keeps her voice down and continued walking.

She had arrived at the library and entered. A lot more people were there than the last one which was abandoned and in ruins.

Miya started searching through the bookshelves. There was again, nothing to be found.

Damn... either it doesn't exist or somebody doesn't want me knowing about it through erasing the books from reality... Miya's thoughts were starting to be fueled up with anger a bit.

She left the library and sighed. Miya went into a bar.

I'll need myself a drink... so tiring. Her thoughts were calm, but carried irritation a bit as she sits down.

The bartender walks over to Miya with a glass cup as he dries it off. He had a handsome look, but his magical force was so immense, that it was more overwhelming than the one she noticed when she walked into Babylon.

"Hey, you look like you had a rough day. What can I help you with?" says the bartender with a calm and deadpanned expression.

"Anything strong." Miya responds calmly as she sat there.

He started making her drink and was mixing in other drinks and shaking it up.

"Name's Li Yuan, came from China, pleasure to meet you." says Li as he passes Miya's shot glass over.

"Miya Katagari. Guessing you came from my world too?" Miya responds as she drinks the alcohol.

"Yeah. Been summoned, been here for decades. It isn't fun." Li calmly says as Miya's eyes widened a bit.

He must know something about the void above reality then... Her angered thoughts dispersed and replaced with surprise and curiosity.

"Hey Li, do you know anything about the void? You know, the empty space of absolute nothingness. That place." Miya asks with some excitement in her voice.

Li glances at her as he cleans the cups from other customers with a surprise look on his face.

"The empty space of absolute nothingness huh? Yeah I know something about it, why ask?" he says calmly.

"I'm curious. Is that truly the name? Or is that what only people know it as?" Miya responds with curiosity.

"That's the only name everyone calls the void by. Although there is an unknown name for it." says Li Yuan with a calming tone.

"Tell me, don't be so vague." says Miya as she taps the bar countertop impatiently with her finger.

"The Void of Absolute Nothingness. An indestructible void that can't be destroyed regardless of how much power you have or your existence. It has always existed and will always exist. It doesn't but does exist, it contradicts one another." Li Yuan explains calmly as Miya finishes her shot glass.

"The Void of Absolute Nothingness? Indestructible? I see, so it's a perfect battlefield to fight in. Even going at full power won't destroy it." says Miya calmly as she listens carefully.

"Yes. The thing is though, only way to move in that said void is to have a source that is also a contradiction, making your existence one and none." Li puts down the cups as he confirms her statement.

"Wait, so that means...." she stopped mid sentence, as Li Yuan nodded.

"Yeah. Transcendence. In order to achieve this though, the concept of your source has to become nonexistent as a contradiction, and you yourself have to transcend all mathematical constructs, the entire concept of space and time, and even the meta constructs within it all." Li Yuan explains as he glares at her with warnings in his eyes.

Those eyes... he's warning me. He knows it's dangerous path I'm on, knowing there will be beings who are infinitely stronger than I am, that my adaptability would be rendered useless... she sighs.

"Got it, I'll try to transcend all of existence itself.. I'll do it if it's the only way to send us home, back to the world we once lived in." says Miya with a smile.

Li Yuan nodded.

"Be careful. No one has ever tried to complete this task, besides one Outer God. He had fought the Ultimate Goddess in that space. The only ones who can eliminate each other out of existence are those with the same physiology of nonexistence." Li Yuan calmly says as Miya stood up.

"Thanks for that. Now I have a goal I have to achieve first before heading home. So thank you." Miya thanks him as she disappears in thin air.

Li Yuan didn't have a chance to say goodbye, he stood there as he started closing everything up.

Miya had found her new goal that she needed to achieve. She now knows about the Ultiamte Goddess and her memories that were given to her. Now, Miya has to find a way to become omnipotent, and maybe, even more than that.
