Ancient Gear Golem 3000ATK/3000DEF
(A/N: wasn't paying attention last chapter and remembered that the defence point is 3000 not 2500. Fixed it for this chapter.)
A monstrous giant with attack points equal to the legendary Blue-eyes white dragon and Defence points higher than it.
If this card was summoned in the first series, many people would have lost their minds when they saw it, especially with the effect it had.
That being said it still was an impressive monster for this dimension and others too.
The deck itself will be feared and hated by lots of people in future as it would be mass produced and be the main deck that obelisk force uses to wager war and cause chaos.
The students looked with awe at the iron golem standing tall and staring at Ryoken menacingly.
But Ryoken wasn't washed with fear whilst looking at the golem, because as a master duel player he knew attack points are trivial, it is the effects that are important.
Though the Iron Golem's effect was nasty and annoying, he still had tactics to go around it.
"My Iron Golem attacks your Stratos! Go Ancient Gear Golem! Iron Fist!" Dr. Crowler yelled as the Golem's eye locked on its target, his hand moving towards Stratos to crush it.
"From my hand I activate Destiny HERO - Dynatag's effect, if I'm going to take battle damage I can discard this card instead, then both players take 1000 points of damage!"
As Stratos was destroyed, Dynatag appeared Infront of Ryoken, absorbing the damage before exploding.
Ryoken LP: 4000 - 1000 -> 3000
Dr. Crowler LP: 4000 - 1000 -> 3000
Crowler winced at the damage but didn't mind it, smiling in approval "I set 2 cards face down and end my turn."
Turn 3
Draw Phase
Without saying anything Ryoken drew a card and let out the breath he was holding.
Ryoken LP: 3000 (3 Cards)
Dr. Crowler LP: 3000 (0 Card)
Main Phase 1
"Professor, it seems we will have a nice bond. I just drew a card that resembles you."
Dr. Crowler raised a brow at that, Curious to see what the card Ryoken had drawn was.
"I activate the spell card pot of greed, with it I can draw 2 more cards."
A vein popped on Crowler's forehead as he clenched his hand with anger as he saw Ryoken was mocking him.
"I summoned Elemental Hero Solid Soldier in attack position. When summoned I can special summon another Hero card from my hand, appear Elemental Hero Blazeman!"
Elemental Hero Solid Soldier 1300ATK/1100DEF
Elemental Hero Blazeman 1200ATK/1800DEF
"Blazeman's effect activates, when summoned I can add Polymerization to my hand."
"Next up, I activate the field spell Skyscraper 2 - Hero City."
The arena began to change, tall buildings and towers appearing out of nowhere. The previous Arena was gone and now was a futuristic megacity.
"I activate Skyscraper's effect, once per turn I can choose a Hero that was destroyed by battle last turn and Special summon it, Come back to my field Stratos!"
Elemental Hero Stratos 1800ATK/300DEF
"And now since Stratos has been summoned, I activate its effect. I destroy set cards on the field equal to the number of Hero monsters I control, except itself. I have Blazeman and Solid Soldier on my field so I destroyed both of your set cards!"
"So that's why he summoned those 2 monsters first, so he can use Stratos effect to its fullest." Alexis muttered, impressed by his play.
Zane smirked, amused by her reaction. If she was this impressed just by this simple tactic, then she was in for a surprise for what Ryoken was going to do next.
"You destroyed my set cards, I applaud you for that. But those Heroes of yours don't have the attack points to deal with my golem."
Ryoken nodded, accepting His words "I know. But Hero's full potential is unlocked when they come together. From my hand I activate the spell card Polymerization to fuse My Stratos and Blazeman."
Stratos and Blazeman's body disappeared into the vortex, fusing with each other.
"Two brave Heroes united to make an even stronger Hero! Fusion summon! Appear and rise like sun! Level 8! Elemental Hero Sunrise!"
Elemental HERO Sunrise 2500ATK/1200DEF
The audience looked at the new hero with awe, the radiance of it being similar to sun.
"Sunrise's effect activates, when summoned I can add 1 Miracle fusion to my hand."
As he added the card, he immediately played it "I activate Miracle fusion from my hand. I can fusion summon an Elemental Hero By banishing the materials listed on it from my field and graveyard! I banish Blazeman and Solid Soldier to fusion summon!"
Solid soldier from the field, and from the graveyard Blazeman's soul went inside the Vortex to unite one more time and create a new Hero.
"Two brave Heroes united to make an even stronger Hero! Fusion summon! Appear the Hero who crushes everything with his might! Level 8! Elemental Hero Gaia!"
Elemental HERO Gaia 2200ATK/2600DEF
"I activate Gaia's effect. I chose a monster on your field and that card's attack points are halved! Not only that, But Gaia also absorbs that lost Attack points!"
Ancient Gear Golem 3000/2 -> 1500ATK
Elemental Hero Gaia 2200 + 1500 -> 3700ATK
"No no no no!!!? My Golem!" Crowler screamed, his hand on his cheeks as he pulled them.
"I don't want to rub salt on your wound, but Sunrise also has a passive effect. Hero monsters on my field gain 200 attack points for each card with different attributes I control on my field. Since there's 2, my heroes gain 400 Attack points."
Elemental Hero Gaia 3700 + 400 -> 4100ATK
Elemental Hero Sunrise 2500 + 400 -> 2900ATK
"Elemental Hero Sunrise attack! Shining Strike!"
With a blink of an eye, the previously imposing Iron giant was destroyed, falling on Crowler as he took damage.
Dr. Crowler LP: 3000 - 1400 -> 1600
"Thanks for the duel Dr. Crowler, I enjoyed it. Gaia attack him directly! Ground Crusher!"
As the Hero with 4100 attack points approached him and his hand came down to crush him, Crowler could only close his eyes and pray he wouldn't face this student of his again.
Dr. Crowler LP: 1600 - 4100 -> 0
[Ryoken Wins!]
As Ryoken won the duel, he approached Crowler and did the iconic pose jaden always did after his duels.
"Gotcha!"
For some reason Crowler saw a halo of a boy with brown hair, wearing a red dorms outfit as Ryoken did that pose, making him feel irritated for some reason.
[Congratulations, host has completed 4/6 of the objectives.]
Hearing the systems voice in his head and saying he hadn't completed all of them, made him stop in his tracks.
'What do you mean only 4?'
[Host didn't complete the two objectives below:]
[Defeat opponents ace card, Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem.]
[Defeat the opponent while making a miracle comeback.]
Ryoken stared silently at the screen, taking in what had just happened.
Did he just now miss on his spirit reward because he won the duel by not letting his opponent push him around the corner?
What kind of unreasonable system was this?
'It seems I need to beat you again.'

At first I wanted to write the duel like how it went in episode 1, with jaden beating Crowler with Flame wingman. But then saw that needed heavy scripting for mc since it would not be the way he usually duels.
Anyway this was just a glimpse of the Hero deck. Evil heroes and masked heroes are waiting for a chance to shine. Speaking of masked heroes, saw some of them that weren't in master duel, like masked Hero Atomic and Masked HERO Furnace. There's several more with neat effects. Will probably use them.
