"Mommy, look! The Alpha's here!"
I turned to see another group of children looking over at Soren with excitement in their eyes. The children's parents bowed respectfully as they stepped forward.
"Thank you for coming, Alpha. This year's harvest is one of the best we've had in years. It's all thanks to your meticulous planning," said a man with long blond hair. He held his wife's hand, looking up at Soren with quiet gratitude.
"That's good news indeed. The Moon Goddess has blessed us this year. Good things are sure to come," Soren replied with a nod.
Everyone nodded with smiling faces. "Thank you, Alpha," they all said in unison.
I raised a brow, wondering why they were thanking the Alpha for a good harvest. He wasn't in control of the weather— was he? And what was this talk about a Moon Goddess?
As the conversation was coming to an end, I watched Soren bid the family farewell, until suddenly a young girl poked her head out from behind her mother's skirt.
