Chapter 15 - The Academy Life on the Right Track (Part 1)

After listening to class for an hour, Oscar and Aos Qin were now on a break. The academically hopeless Oscar was painfully clutching his head, while Aos Qin—who had endured all kinds of exams in his previous life—found this level of study nothing more than child's play.

Taking advantage of the break, he decided to make a personal schedule. From now until the age of thirty was the rapid growth phase for a Soul Master—time could not be wasted. Although according to his memories of the original storyline, as long as he didn't do anything reckless, he could reach Title Douluo around twenty years old, this world now had him in it—who knew what changes might occur? Moreover, becoming a god was his ultimate goal. The position of the Food God belonged to Oscar, so what about him? In any case, hard work would never betray him.

He took out a blank sheet of paper and began listing his current time allocations.Classes started at 7 a.m. but usually ended around 10 a.m. There was still an hour and a half before lunch—wasting that time wouldn't do. The academy had classes six days a week, and since only three days were left in this week, all of them would naturally be lecture days. But starting next week, the schedule would change—cultural classes would only be held for three mornings, while the other three would be self-study.

Afternoon physical training sessions lasted three hours, six days a week. Since they ended around 5 p.m., there was no need to rush home—he could head to Soto City by 6 p.m. to help Aubert and Yun Shuangshuang close their stalls.

Next, he began listing tasks to be done. Money problems aside, first was Soul Guidance Device crafting—he needed to equip himself and Oscar as soon as possible. Second was preparing the nutrient solution for the Ginseng Doll's growth and the medicinal bath ingredients for post-training recovery. Both only needed to be done once a week—at most, a few minutes daily to crush hamburgers and sausages to sprinkle into the Ginseng Doll's jar. When checking the dorm today, Aos Qin noticed the Ginseng Doll had absorbed everything perfectly—yesterday's feed was already gone.

After some thought, Aos Qin decided to request permission from Flander to set up a blacksmith furnace at the academy, just like Tang San had done. For the three lecture days, he could use the leftover morning time for metal refining—whether ordinary iron ore for his uncle or rare metals for crafting Soul Guidance Devices, both required purification, especially the latter, which even needed Spirit Forging.

On the three non-lecture days, he would engrave core arrays and assemble Soul Guidance Devices. Once Oscar completed his blacksmith initiation, Aos Qin would guide him in crafting as well.

As for the afternoon's three hours of physical training, that was already arranged. Aos Qin had provided the data to Flander, who would give it to Zhao Wuji. With Zhao Wuji's experience, he would definitely adopt the Omnipotent Library's training plan. Aos Qin had already commissioned Soto City craftsmen to custom-make the necessary equipment a week ago. They would deliver everything tomorrow—mainly boxing sandbags, focus mitts, speed balls, pear balls; barbells for bench press and squats; yoga mats for flexibility training; jump ropes and rope ladders for agility and coordination drills; and a plum blossom stake setup.

Setting up the plum blossom stakes would be troublesome—he'd need Zhao Wuji's help, otherwise digging and planting the stakes would be exhausting. And never underestimate the role of boxing. While it might not be the strongest in pure combat terms, boxing engaged nearly all the body's muscles, developing not stiff shapes but functional athletic muscles. Most importantly, boxing required full-body coordination—movement, dodging, striking—it was an excellent workout for coordination, agility, and power control. It also honed one's ability to read attack timing and spatial awareness.

The hour after physical training would be used for a medicinal bath. After returning home, he would materialize the food to be sold the next day—treating it as a Soul Skill casting exercise. If he remembered correctly, one soul incantation wasn't limited to conjuring only a single portion of food.

Before sleeping, he'd meditate for two hours, then spend three hours inside the Omnipotent Library practicing remote Soul Guidance Device operations.

This included, but was not limited to: improving precision in Soul Device discharge, learning how to unleash the strongest attack with the least Soul Power, how to block enemy approaches, how to disengage safely when approached, applying devices under various environments, forming effective device combinations, and rapidly arming himself during sudden encounters. The remaining three hours would be used for Soul Guidance Device crafting.

After organizing all this, Aos Qin realized his life was truly packed. But he was genuinely happy about it—not out of masochism, but because once you became accustomed to seeing tangible progress every so often, you naturally grew more motivated. Truth be told, Aos Qin in his past life hadn't been a hardworking person and had many regrets. Now, given a second chance—with the Omnipotent Library and his closest people by his side—he had no reason not to give his all.

Before afternoon classes began, under Teacher Shao Xin's watchful gaze, Oscar and Aos Qin activated their Martial Soul Fusion Skill again. This time, Aos Qin's Martial Soul took the lead. Accompanied by the shout, "Energy unlimited—Beef Sausage Cheese Pizza!", a circular pizza covered in molten cheese appeared in their hands. Its diameter was 22 centimeters, with beef and sausage visible beneath the cheese—thick and generously filled. Most conveniently, it was already sliced into four pieces. No need to say more—they dug in.

After swallowing the last bite, Aos Qin keenly noticed that his Soul Power, previously down by about 30%, now had only dropped by a little over 10%. Combined with Shao Xin's reaction, this Martial Soul Fusion Skill must have a powerful effect—ignoring level restrictions and restoring 20% of Soul Power directly. As their Soul Power grew in the future, that percentage might increase even more—a god-tier support ability. Shao Xin, however, seemed entirely used to such miracles by now.

After a twenty-minute rest, Oscar and Aos Qin took the remaining slice of pizza to the training field to find Zhao Wuji—their next training session would trouble him. Zhao Wuji, already aware that they would first test their Fusion Skill, didn't blame them for being late. After inquiring about the pizza's effects, he simply stored it away—his third Soul Skill, Gravity Enhancement, would soon be used, and the pizza would serve as recovery afterward.

Before beginning, Zhao Wuji confirmed with Aos Qin that the tools listed in the provided data were ready. As expected, Flander had already handed over the training plan to Zhao Wuji, who decided to adopt it—after all, such diverse training was much more comprehensive than simple weighted exercises. Aos Qin also mentioned he'd need Zhao Wuji's help tomorrow to bury the plum blossom stakes, then training began.

Since both Oscar and Aos Qin were still six-year-old children, Zhao Wuji only increased gravity by onefold. Even with preparation, Aos Qin felt his body suddenly sink as if trapped in mud—he couldn't move at all at first, only able to slowly shift his limbs to adapt to the heavy pressure. Oscar, having been less prepared, was instantly flattened to the ground. Thankfully, he wasn't foolish enough to struggle—he followed Aos Qin's lead, moving slowly while lying down to adapt. It looked awkward and clumsy, but at least it was safe.

For the entire three hours, the twins trained under increased gravity. From being unable to move, to slow walking, then light jogging—Aos Qin found that Soul Power circulation seemed more active under such high pressure. Perhaps he could one day build a Soul Guidance Device that generated a controllable gravity field. That way, he wouldn't need to trouble Teacher Zhao again and could accelerate Soul Power growth himself. But achieving adjustable multi-level gravity likely required a rank-four Soul Device or higher—not something he could complete anytime soon. Maybe, once the academy teachers learned Soul Device crafting, they could help. "Anyway, for now, Teacher Zhao, please bear with it," Aos Qin thought.

In the last half-hour, seeing they had adapted to onefold gravity, Zhao Wuji raised it by another half—pinning both boys in place, forcing them to burn Soul Power furiously to resist. When the gravity vanished, the two collapsed to the ground, gasping for air like fish out of water, needing a full half-hour before they could stand again.

Oscar returned to the dorm to make a simple nutrient solution for the Ginseng Doll, while Aos Qin went to Flander's office to propose building a blacksmith furnace. Flander waved his hand grandly, saying, "Build several. The teachers—especially Shao Xin—are preparing to study Soul Guidance Device crafting. Tomorrow, Oscar will be told that the academy has obtained a full set of crafting methods, and he'll start learning the theory." As for the furnaces, Aos Qin didn't need to worry—the dean himself would handle it.

When leaving the dean's office, Aos Qin couldn't help but wonder why the normally stingy Flander had become so generous. The next morning, during a class break, he got his answer. As he wandered outside, Aos Qin noticed Vice Dean Zhao Wuji—who had helped bury the plum blossom stakes earlier—hadn't gone to rest. Instead, he was moving bricks into a large stone house near the edge of the academy. Judging by the bricks, they were compressed from soft yellow clay under immense pressure into hard, solid blocks.

At that moment, Aos Qin's heart filled with boundless respect for Vice Dean Zhao Wuji.
