Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 The culprit: Cosmic Cube

On the screen.

Iron Man, holding the nuclear bomb, flew towards the enormous mothership hovering at the very top.

However, he had only flown halfway when Iron Man, inside his suit, began to feel drowsy, and then actually passed out.

He started to fall directly downwards.

"What's going on?"

Nick Fury asked Iron Man beside him, somewhat puzzled, "You clearly weren't attacked, so why did you suddenly pass out?"

"Lack of oxygen."

Iron Man immediately understood what had happened.

When he first designed the Iron Man suit, he never considered fighting in outer space, so the suit wasn't designed to produce "Earth air."

The air available for Iron Man to breathe inside the suit was continuously absorbed from the outside through a ventilation system, then processed and filtered, and that was it.

But the world on the other side of that portal was not Earth; it was the vastness of space!

The ventilation system was naturally useless in such a situation.

After all, the atmosphere in space is fundamentally different from Earth's atmosphere.

"It seems the automatic oxygen supply system also needs to be put on the agenda," Iron Man secretly decided in his heart.

Nick Fury nodded, not saying much.

Now that Iron Man had discovered a potential flaw in his suit, he would certainly make improvements in advance; there was no need to elaborate.

Everyone continued to look at the big screen.

Although Iron Man was already falling due to unconsciousness, the nuclear bomb's direction had also been aimed at the giant mothership by Iron Man.

Next, the nuclear bomb flew forward using its own propulsion system, crashing violently into the giant mothership.

Boom!

A terrifying explosion immediately engulfed the mothership.

At this point, the image froze briefly, then disappeared.

The scene temporarily fell silent.

"What happened next?" Iron Man was a little frantic. What happened after the nuclear bomb exploded?

At that time, he was already unconscious and in free fall. Judging by the situation, it would have been impossible to escape the nuclear bomb's explosion.

He would definitely have been swallowed by the nuclear bomb's explosion along with the alien fleet.

"Don't worry, something else must have happened afterward. Although it's still unclear, you were definitely rescued, Stark," Nick Fury said to Iron Man with a very confident tone.

Because the Endgame battle that Coulson reported to him happened more than ten years later.

And in this current footage, Iron Man and he looked almost the same as they do now, so it most likely happened in recent years.

Furthermore, Iron Man's suit was far inferior to the nanotech suit in Endgame, which further indicated that this battle took place before Endgame.

Since Iron Man participated in Endgame, which happened after this, it's clear that Iron Man did not die in the nuclear blast.

"Let's focus on this 'Battle of New York,'" Nick Fury then said in a deep voice.

As soon as he said this, both he and Iron Man became somewhat solemn.

This was understandable; anyone who knew their city would be invaded by aliens in the future would not be calm.

Black Widow, on the other hand, was a bit confused and puzzled.

Looking at Nick Fury and Iron Man's attitudes, they seemed a bit too serious. Was this footage not just a simple video?

"Sir, what exactly is this footage? Why are you and Tony Stark taking it so seriously?" Black Widow asked from the side, in a deep voice.

"Romanoff, there's a very high possibility that this footage is from the future!" Nick Fury said, dropping a bombshell.

"The future?"

Black Widow found it incredibly unbelievable.

Can anyone in this world do such a thing?

"Didn't you ask me before why I suddenly became interested in a deceased American soldier? Now you know the answer."

Nick Fury said to Black Widow again.

Black Widow's face showed surprise again: "Sir, you only knew Captain America was alive through answering questions? And you, Tony Stark, you must have also gone through answering questions, right?"

Without needing Nick Fury and Iron Man to answer, Black Widow now recalled their reactions and was certain this was the case.

Besides her, Black Widow, these two had definitely experienced answering questions before.

If that was the case, Black Widow immediately believed most of what Nick Fury said about foreseeing the future.

Because she knew that since Nick Fury had reached such a conclusion, it must have gone through verification and he had a considerable degree of certainty!

And Iron Man, America's top genius, obviously believed this as well.

Even a highly intelligent genius scientist like him believed it, so what reason did Black Widow have not to believe?

Although this matter sounded a bit absurd, the fact that it could convince a shrewd intelligence chief and a high-IQ scientist itself spoke volumes.

Then looking at the fighter jet that Captain America had flown, lying before her... Black Widow rationally made her judgment and chose to believe Nick Fury, believing that the footage was from the future.

And once she immersed herself in that thought...

Black Widow's expression also didn't look good: "So, in the future, aliens will really invade New York?"

Upon learning this, Black Widow felt completely unsettled.

"Why? Is there something in New York that attracts those alien forces? Our Earth shouldn't have offended aliens, right?"

Black Widow said incredulously. Earth didn't even know where aliens were, let alone offend them.

"Romanoff, war is only about interests, nothing else!" Nick Fury was relatively calmer.

In his youth, hadn't Earth been dragged into a war between alien powers?

However, at that time, those aliens were driven away by Captain Marvel alone, but now, Earth no longer had another Captain Marvel.

They could only rely on themselves.

"Since the aliens chose to invade New York, it means there must be something in New York that attracts them!" Nick Fury said emphatically.

At this point, Nick Fury's mind suddenly stirred.

A blue glowing cube involuntarily appeared in his mind: the Tesseract.

That object was not originally from Earth, but from an alien planet.

Even in Nick Fury's youth, the Skrulls and Kree had fought over this Tesseract, and Earth was once drawn into it.

The only thing Nick Fury could think of that might attract aliens was the Tesseract.
