Just as Peter was considering how to utilize the Kelly Draidy character card he had drawn, Gwen's voice suddenly pulled his attention back.

"Peter! Something's happened!"

Gwen's voice carried a sharp hint of panic. Even when facing powerful enemies like Doctor Octopus, Gwen had always maintained absolute calm and rationality. For her to be this distraught, a premonition of ill omen flashed through Peter's mind. He quickly closed the system's light screen, leaving the character card in his inventory for now; Gwen's situation was the priority.

Peter immediately activated his suit's thrusters, appearing beside her in an instant. Gwen held her charged and powered-on phone with trembling hands, tears welling in her eyes.

"Don't panic yet! What exactly happened? Tell me clearly first!"

Peter's voice had a grounding quality that instantly soothed her panicked emotions. Gwen turned the phone screen toward him, displaying more than twenty missed calls and dozens of text messages. Peter took the phone and opened the first message. Its content explained everything:

"Gwen, why aren't you answering the phone? Dad is in trouble. Mom is coming to your school to pick you up. Don't go anywhere!"

The Investigation Begins

As Peter read through the rest of the messages, the full story became clear. At noon today, George Stacy, the New York Police Director, had suddenly disappeared from his office.

A photo from yesterday's bank robbery scene had been found pinned to his wall. Crucially, besides George Stacy's figure, the photo clearly showed Peter and Gwen in their suits fighting Rhino. The New York Police highly suspected this was an act of revenge and had immediately moved to protect the Stacy family. Because Gwen had been "missing" (while in the parallel universe), her mother feared she had been kidnapped as well.

"Peter! What should we do? Who kidnapped my Dad?" Gwen asked, her vulnerable side showing as she relied on Peter's wisdom.

"I'm afraid the police are right. It's very likely Rhino's accomplices," Peter pondered, resting his chin on his hand. "To abduct a Director from the Police station without a sound—only a Super Villain could do that."

He quickly formed a plan. "deep blue, check all twenty-four-hour surveillance footage from the streets near the Police station. Find every suspicious element. Even a Super Villain with powers cannot leave no trace. This time, even if I have to turn New York City upside down, I will find those who dared to lay hands on Uncle George!"

A Cold Fury

George Stacy wasn't just a high-ranking official; he was Gwen's father—essentially Peter's future father-in-law. Peter was truly enraged. The temperature of his gaze dropped, and a faint blue electric light began to glow on his palm.

Amidst the hum of the electric light, the damaged giant god soldier no. 1 began to be rapidly repaired.

"After I find those guys, I will make them regret ever coming to this world!"

The light from deep blue's core flickered frequently in response. With its current computing power, deep blue could scan the entire city's surveillance network in a matter of minutes.

The Abandoned Dock

7:00 PM. An abandoned dock far from New York City.

Inside a dilapidated warehouse, a man was tied to a chair being brutally beaten. Bang! Bang! Bang! Strong, powerful fists rained down on him, disfiguring his face. His lean, angular features were swollen beyond recognition, his eyes reduced to mere slits. He had clearly endured horrific, inhuman treatment.

Despite the damage, the New York Police uniform and the badge on his chest confirmed his identity: Director George Stacy.

The man delivering the beating was Bullseye, his trademark target-mask hiding his expression as he worked with sadistic glee. Just as George was on the verge of being beaten to death, a woman with a fiery figure emerged from the dark corner of the warehouse.

"Bullseye, are you trying to kill George Stacy? I don't recall Boss giving you such an order, do I?"

Bullseye stopped, his eyes wide and excited from the violence. He contemptuously spat a thick glob of phlegm onto George Stacy's face and wiped his blood-stained fists on the Director's clothes.

"Esteemed Director, you are truly lucky to have the protection of our lovely Elektra!"

Elektra, known as The Hand's strongest ninja, walked forward expressionlessly. Unlike the low-ranking ninjas, she had not been corrupted by demonic power; she maintained her rationality, though her strength and speed were far beyond human limits. The two stood in a tense standoff until a majestic, hoarse voice sounded from a phone set up in the darkness.

"Alright, Bullseye. Didn't you say you wanted to use George Stacy to make those two rookie heroes surrender? A dead person has no value!"

It was the voice of Kingpin. The phone's camera was positioned so he could watch the scene from afar, enjoying every moment of the Director's suffering.
