"Oh my fucking god," Sea whined as he sat next to one of the gym's toilets.
"I told you to stop drinking, but you didn't," New said, standing next to the man on the verge of tears.
"I didn't even drink that much," Sea cried.
"Liar, you always drink too much."
"But this time I had one beer. ONE!" Sea yelled, putting a finger in New's face as he rolled his eyes.
"Coach, believe me, please!" Sea begged.
"You are being too loud," New said, "I don't want you waking the girls."
Sea rolled his eyes and slowly stood up, "Those kids need to think about waking me up!" Sea went to wash his hands at the bathroom sink.
"Take it easy," New said, rubbing Sea's back as they walked outside to the gym.
"Everything okay?" Tay asked.
"When do you even get here?" Sea scowled.
"I can't come check up on my husband." Sea rolled his eyes as he watched New basically melt into Tay's arms.
The two of them had been together for 14 years, married for 10. They had 2 daughters, Kat and Josie, and one girl on the way.
"Yeah, no, no, you can't," Sea said as he watched the two of them fully make out in front of him. "You guys are gross."
New laughed, pulling back from Tay with a smile, "Go back to work, Tay."
"But baby," Tay whined. Sea looked at them with wide eyes. Couples and grown men whining really grossed him out.
"I will see you at home, I got the girls," New said, and Tay pecked him on the lips, whispering something in his ears. "Get!" New yelled, smacking him on the back.
"I am going, I am going. I will order you and the kids some food for lunch," Tay said and turned his attention to Sea, "Would you like something to?" his voice was almost robotic and cold, much different from the baby talk he had been doing for the past 3 minutes.
"Sea keeps throwing up."
"Oh no," Tay said, feigning concern.
"Yeah, so if you could get him some soup or maybe a pregnancy test," New said, and Sea looked at him with wide eyes again.
"You're pregnant?" Tay asked, raising his eyebrow.
"I'm not."
Tay turned his attention back to New, who just started to laugh, "We will stick with the soup for now. I love you, honey."
"I love you too, cutie," Tay said with a wink, and just like that, he was gone.
"He doesn't like me."
"I know, and I don't know why," New said as he rested his head on Sea's shoulder. Standing slightly smaller than Sea, the two of them were almost like a pair.
"I think he's jealous." Before New got pregnant with Kat, he also boxed right along Sea. Teaching 11-year-old Sea when he was 18 to be a boxer just like him.
"I doubt it."
He sighed as he felt his mouth start to water.
He quickly ran to the bathroom before throwing up again.
New followed in behind him, closing the door. "I was joking about the pregnant thing, but you sure you're not pregnant?" New asked concernly.
"Why would I be pregnant?!" Sea screamed.
"I don't know, you tell me. What did you do last night after the bar?"
Sea rolled his eyes, "Why do I have to tell you every fucking thing?"
"I am asking you nicely, be nice," New said, lightly kicking Sea's back.
"I had a beer…"
New cut him off, "You already said that." Sea rolled his eyes and put his head back in anguish.
"I had one beer, and I was talking to some guys at the bar."
New gave him a weird look, "Since when do you talk to guys at the bar?"
Sea rolled his eyes yet again, "WELL I WAS TALKING TO GUYS AT THE BAR?! OKAY? I just wanted a change of pace, I guess."
"That is so unlike you. Are you feeling well?"
"Well, now I am fucking not."
"Why were you going to the bar?"
"I just wanted to, okay," Sea said defensively. New didn't believe him, but didn't push any further. "What else?"
"Then there was this one guy, and I thought he was handsome."
"And you found a guy handsome? There must be something in the air!"
"Are you going to let me talk or what?" Sea said, looking up at him. "Go, go."
"There was this guy, and I thought he was handsome, so we started talking and then the night went on from there…" Sea's voice trailed off.
"Did you guys have sex?"
"Please don't make me say it," Sea said with his eyes closed.
"Did you use a condom?"
New's face dropped when Sea didn't answer.
"You are 26, and you don't have sex with condoms on?!"
"Well, I don't have sex," Sea said.
"Did you and your ex have sex with condoms on?"
"Don't," Sea muttered.
"Okay, I'm sorry, but going back to the fact you are 26 and don't know how to tell your fling to put on a condom?" New said, gob smacked.
"I wonder how you got pregnant," Sea coughed out.
"This isn't about me," New pointed at him. "So are you pregnant? Is that what I'm hearing?"
"I mean…"
New rolled his eyes, "You had sex, with no condom, with a guy you met once? Please tell me you know his name."
"Something with a j?"
"And you don't know his name, please oh my god!" New whined as the bathroom door got pushed open.
"Dad."
"Oh my baby, are you done with your nap?"
"Dad, I am 14, back it up," Kat said, and New hugged her anyway.
"Sea, get up let's go outside."
After washing his hands and getting some water, New, Sea, Josie, and Kat sat down.
Kat was on her phone, and Josie was running around because she is 7 and there is nothing better for her to do, apparently.
"Do you at least remember his face?"
"I could recognize it from a mile away, it is very distinct…"
"Dad," Kat mumbled, not looking up from her phone.
"What baby?"
She slid her phone across the table, "Tay's a piece of shit."
"Don't say that about your dad…" New's voice died out.
"Ceo Tay Tawan, knocked down from the number 1 spot on ceo top 50 after 11 weeks. New Ceo Jimmy Jitaraphol takes his place…" Sea's voice faded out, too.
"Oh, what the fuck," Sea said.
"I know, right? How are we gonna eat?" New joked.
"That's him."
"That's who?" New asked, looking over at Sea, who had a mortified look on his face. "Sea?"
"Fuck," Sea muttered.
"Language, and what? That's who?" New asked, rubbing Sea's back, concerned.
"And I threaten to kill him. New, I am so dead, I am so fucking dead."
"Sea, calm down and talk to me. What is happening?"
"That guy," Sea said, pointing at Kat's phone. "Is the guy I slept with last night. And I threatened to kill him if he got me pregnant."
New closed his eyes and sighed, "I…I have no words." New opened his eyes back up and just stared at the man in front of him.
"What did you do with Tay?"
"Well, we were in a relationship when I got pregnant."
"Yeah, no, you weren't. You were what, 20? And he was 21, I remember you saying that you weren't in a relationship."
"Okay, okay, I don't need you exposing my questionable love life and pre-marital pregnancy around my children, thank you very much," New snapped. "If you're pregnant, I am not going to let you continue boxing."
"And if I'm not pregnant?"
"Then this whole thing was just some food poisoning, and we will be back like nothing happened," New said. "I want you to take a pregnancy test, though."
Sea sighed and slumped down. "Okay, okay, I will."
It was going to be a long day.
