After a few hours of talking, Maya, Kaya, and Merry went back to their house. I was sitting down on the floor, leaning against a tree with my eyes closed, enjoying the breeze. Man, I must say the weather on this island sure is nice. While I was relaxing, I felt a presence coming towards me. I got up and saw Usopp heading toward me. I wonder why. There may be something he wanted to ask me about. As soon as he arrived, he looked at me and said
"After thinking hard for a few hours, I finally made my decision."
"Which is?
"I decided to leave the village behind and come with you to be a pirate."
"So you decided to leave the village and become a pirate after all, huh?"
"Yeah, it was tough, it took me a few hours to consider it, but I remember my father told me something before he left and became a pirate, and those words moved me."
"Let me guess, as he said something along the lines of 'I leave for one reason when the great pirate flag beckons, you must heed its call'"
"How did you know that?"
"That's exactly what Yasopp told my younger brother about why he became a pirate."
Man, I'm glad Usopp is now a member of my crew. Just now, Usopp officially became a member of my crew. For a minute, I thought he wasn't going to join, but I'm glad he made up his mind. I believed, even if he joined the crew, he would need a bit more time to think it over. One of my abilities, specifically Magnetic Personality, had a hand in this, to say the least.
"Well, Usopp, tell me something: did you tell those three kids you were leaving yet?"
"Yeah, I told them I was leaving about thirty minutes ago."
"I see no wonder your eyes are still red. At any rate, welcome to the crew, I'm glad to have you on board."
"So when exactly are we leaving?"
"Since the sun will set in just a few hours, we decided to leave tomorrow morning after breakfast."
"That's perfect."
Oh, I think I know why he said that he's going to pull one last one before he goes.
"Let me guess, you wanna shout pirates are coming again, right?"
"Yeah, I'm becoming a pirate, and I might never come back, so I'll do a last one before I leave."
"Be sure to pack everything you need. If you need a hand, I'll be on the ship with Zoro and Alvida."
"Oh, I was wondering where they were; they were on the ship, huh?"
"That's right, this is officially our first pirate ship. Both of them wanted to get accommodated on the ship before we went to sleep, then Usopp, I will see you in the morning."
"Ok, Ace, see you tomorrow."
Usopp grinned as he said it. The guy is really happy to have officially become a pirate. With all that being said, he's grinning ear to ear because he became a pirate. Still, I'm even happier than he is because, although he was without a doubt the weakest member of the Straw Hats, he was a key member of why they were so good; he might have been the most versatile member of them all.
He was a capable inventor; he built the clima-tact for Nami to fight. When you compare him to Franky, he wasn't a very skilled shipwright, but he was always the one to fix the ship before Franky came around. You don't notice it because he acts scared all the time, but Usopp is pretty smart. I can't remember a fight Usopp has been in when he was actually the stronger person, and he won a bunch of them. In Water Seven, when he and Luffy were arguing, he gave Luffy a run for his money despite being extremely injured before that fight, and I don't even need to mention his skills as a sniper.
Well, now that Usopp is a member of my crew and I got the Going Merry for free, there's nothing left to do on this island anymore. After breakfast, we will set sail. I would like to know which island to visit next and whom to recruit next. Well enough about that right now, I'll be going for a long swim tonight before I go to sleep.
