Chapter 35: What Did You Do?
DRAVEN
Everything felt heavy. Wrong.
My body ached in places that shouldn't ache. My head was foggy, like I'd been drugged or knocked out cold.
I tried to move, but something felt off. Different.
The ground under me was cold. Hard stone. Not my bed.
Why the fuck was I on the floor?
I forced my eyes open slowly, blinking against the dim light filtering through my chambers. Everything looked blurry and doubled at first, my vision struggling to focus.
And then I realized.
I was still in wolf form.
My massive black paws were stretched out in front of me. I could feel the fur covering my body, the weight of my wolf's form pressed against the stone floor.
What the hell happened?
I tried to remember. Tried to piece together how I ended up here.
The last thing I remembered was—
Seraphina.
Her blood. The taste of it on my tongue. The way my vampire side had demanded more, always more.
