"Divinity… so that means I'm a god now?"
Leon Ragnell had only finished Dragon Ball GT. He'd skimmed Battle of Gods, cherry-picked bits of Super, and when it came to Marvel, he was mostly MCU—after Endgame he just watched breakdowns and a few well-reviewed shows.
He honestly wasn't sure whether "divinity" was even a thing.
But this was the Marvel world—real and present. Now that a divinity had literally fallen into his hands, of course he'd dig into how it worked.
The Ancient One drew a slow breath. "A divinity lets you transact your power—grant it to your followers, or to mages like us. Since you absorbed Goye, you can do the same."
As she spoke, she traced a line through the air.
An ancient tome dropped open before Leon. "I haven't handled a divinity firsthand," she admitted. "But we can study it together."
They bent over the text.
As they discussed the mechanics of godhood, insights began to crystallize in Leon's mind.
With the divinity, things the Ancient One couldn't parse… clicked for him.
Things she could not frame, he could comprehend—through the lens of the divinity.
And Goye's tricks fell into Leon's hands too.
One: Hellfire—burns anything, and doubles as a torment for the soul. Not invincible, though; Leon's ki could grind it out, and the Ancient One had spells to block it.
Two: Gate of the Dark Dimension—pretty standard Demon God kit, punching between the real and the Dark Dimension.
Three: Devour—basically "you can eat anything."
That last one was… marginally useful at best.
Then there was lending power to followers—letting divinity flow out and, essentially, return with interest.
Also: longevity.
No wonder so many gods seemed to do nothing all day and still stayed strong—turns out the believers were doing the heavy lifting.
"Why grind training when you can grind faith?" he mused.
The one downer: it didn't directly raise his Battle Power.
He couldn't flip straight into Super Saiyan God off the divinity alone.
It still looked like Super Saiyan → SSJ2 → SSJ3 → SSG was the proper path.
Hoo…
He exhaled lightly, forming a picture of his situation.
The divinity's core role was support—and it scaled with the strength of his followers. The stronger the faithful, the stronger he'd be.
Different gods would wield different types of divinity.
What did other gods' divinities do? Neither Leon nor the Ancient One knew.
Days later, Leon had a working grasp.
"So… the next step is to loan out power?" he thought aloud, glancing over Planet Pura and weighing how to distribute blessings. His four-plus-million was basically what Goye had sat at before the feast.
The catch: he had to grant in person.
He was strong—but not strong enough to beam boons from a separate dimension like Dormammu could.
With a thought, Leon spread his hands and opened a portal.
A richly dressed man stepped through.
This was Planet Pura's king—Diro Slik.
"Diro."
"You worshiped a false god," Leon said, voice flat. "You fed your own children and citizens to that thing. The guilt is yours—and worthy of death."
Diro collapsed to his knees with a thud. "Lord God, I never meant— we never meant—!"
"You held those sacrifices," Leon replied evenly. "Now more than ninety percent of this world's life has been offered up. That is your sin—and you have paid a price."
Diro blinked.
So Leon didn't plan to exterminate them.
Leon rolled his shoulders and spoke quietly, "The old god is dead. A new god must be enthroned. From this day, I am your god."
"Paying homage to the Lord God!" Diro reacted instantly, prostrating himself. "Honored Deity, we are willing—please, allow us to serve you as our new god!"
A smile tugged at Leon's lips.
He let the divinity hum to life
—pondering what to grant Diro first.
Gods usually handed out raw power—instant boosts.
But as he pushed the divinity, Leon realized his menu was… broader.
Grant: Ki — unlock ki training and Dragon Ball–style combat arts.
Grant: Saiyan Bloodline — convert the recipient's lineage into that of a Saiyan.
Grant: Namekian Bloodline — convert the recipient into a Namekian lineage.
Grant: Buu Cells — bestow high-speed regeneration and devouring ability.
Grant: Magic — the Kamar-Taj systems he'd learned.
Grant: Devour — Goye's consumption power.
Grant: Hellfire — Goye's soul-searing flame.
Grant: Battle Power — directly impart a portion of his Battle Power.
Grant: Destruction — the power of Hakai, the Destroyer's force that erases anything.
