So she screwed with the timeline, but what could she do?
When Jade claimed something or someone as her own she took care of them, protected them. Charlie and Bella were thus under that protection. She was even considering offering some of her household spots to them in the future.
And she'd only just begun.
Curious if perhaps others might be included depending on her future hubby's connections.
Then one of Charlie's buddies died, attacked supposedly by a wild animal. It would seem the nomads were in town. Why wouldn't they still come? Even if the Cullen's were no longer there and that curiosity had gone away.
Which meant Jade stuck to Charlie's side when he would go fishing. And she'd stick to Bella when she'd go grocery shopping in the early evening.
It was one such evening when the twins were yanked into an alley between the grocery and the local video store.
Immediately Jade went on the offense, sending a bolt of electric current into their attacker with a whispered ZipZap, as the attacker jolted back she pulled Bella behind her quickly.
"Stay behind me no matter what."
Seeing a flash of red eyes behind blonde hair, Jade whispered "Deliriate". The vampire fell against the wall and looked confused, before she followed with a Memory Wipe and a Siren's Call voice. "Take your coven and never return to Washington again."
The blonde shook his head again as if trying to fight off her power of suggestion. In the end he ran away as if the hounds of hell were nipping at his heels.
"What was that?"
Jade turned toward her sister, "He was something that goes bump in the night. We aren't supposed to know they exist."
"What happens if we do?" Bella tugged at the bottom of her sleeves.
"We die." Jade sighed, "Look, I hope you never see a red eyes again but if you do call me immediately and tell me your location. I'll come if you call."
"Ok."
"That's it?"
"I trust you, Jade. No matter what are you are, you've never hurt me or those you care for that has to count for something."
Jade clasped her chest, "Aw you are going to make me all teary eyed."
Bella playfully shoved her, "Shut up."
It would be many years before Bella Swan- would see a red eyes again and when she did she knew exactly who to call.
