[This offspring's talent is: 3 stage potential, talent direction: Warrior.]
[Blood Feedback is activating!]
[Blood Feedback has been activated. You have received the following rewards: One year of training experience. Your potential has increased by 10%. Bronze-level skill: Steel Skin, Bronze-level skill: Rapid Healing.]
3 stage potential isn't great, but in this small border area, it's still a pretty strong warrior.
After all, even a 4 stage knight like Michael can become the leader of a big family.
So Lucian wasn't upset at all that his offspring didn't inherit much of his own talent.
In fact, the skills this time were pretty useful for fighting.
Steel Skin and Rapid Healing are both passive skills that only Warriors can learn. But under the power of Blood Feedback, Lucian, a knight, could use them and was already getting the hang of it.
This kind of power was seriously scary.
"Why is this possible?" Michael was still muttering to himself on the other side. "This healing and toughness-only Warriors can have it. This is Steel Skin, a Warrior skill. Who the hell are you?"
"Dual class? No no no, you don't even have a Warrior's heart. How could you learn Warrior skills? That's impossible!"
Michael screamed, losing his mind. He looked like he was going through a deep self-doubt.
"Want to know?" Lucian smiled calmly, not at all wanting to explain to Michael. "Go ask in the underworld."
"Rapid Slash!"
He swung his knight sword forward, rushing toward Michael's body. Michael, already lost in self-doubt, had no chance to escape. He was killed in an instant.
Lucian smiled. He could feel his own Rapid Slash ability was getting better and better.
Even though this time, because the offspring was only 3 stage, he only got one year of training experience, it wasn't that bad compared to the previous three years.
The reason was simple: the training experience from Gift of the Breeder wasn't just about one skill. It was like a full year of hard training for all of Lucian's abilities. That was a full improvement, not just for Rapid Slash, but also for Knight's Blessing, or even the new skills like Steel Skin and Rapid Healing.
That was why he could take Michael's Flame Shot head-on.
This meant the more skills Lucian had, the more training experience he would get from his offspring. And whether it was more experience or new skills, he needed to keep marrying and having kids. That was the real power of Gift of the Breeder.
"More kids, more blessings, more blessings, more kids," Lucian thought with a smile. He turned his head and looked at Margarethe beside him.
At that moment, Margarethe had already finished the battle. The ground was covered in bodies of the Slave Hunters, even the unknown 3 stage Warrior was lying on the ground, eyes full of fear.
Rogues were the best base class for assassins. With shadow magic, they could attack from any shadow, from any hidden corner no one could see.
Michael and the 4-stage Warrior leader's deaths left the unknown 3-stage Warrior in a state of shock. In a moment of distraction, he lost focus, and even that brief moment was enough to be deadly in a fight with a Rogue.
As a result, he died at Margarethe's hands.
With the strongest four all dead, the 2-stage Slave Hunters were no match for Margarethe. Even if they tried to run, it was nearly impossible to escape her killing strike.
So, just a short while later, the whole battlefield was left with only Lucian and Margarethe.
Lucian didn't even care about the blood on the ground. He grabbed his knight sword and started cutting through the locks on the prison carts, freeing the Zelle tribe elves inside.
Their faces were full of fear, and even though they had no visible wounds, their eyes were tired and worn out.
Lucian understood the reason right away.
Elves were born with a natural affinity for magic. They didn't fight head-on. The Slave Hunters must have used some kind of trick to capture these elves. After all, the number of elves in the carts was huge-dozens of 3-stage elves, and even a couple of 4-stage elite warriors. That was way too much for the Brown family to handle through brute force.
The Brown family must have used some kind of underhanded trick to capture them. They weren't fighting back not because they were weak, but because of the glowing blue shackles on their wrists.
[Mana Blocker].
This was an imperial specialty. The material wasn't super strong, but it was a deadly weapon against supernatural beings. Except for Warriors, all supernatural beings needed to communicate with magic to use their powers. In other words, if they couldn't get magic, they couldn't use their abilities at all, and they'd slowly weaken until they were no better than ordinary humans.
Mana Blockers worked by cutting off that connection.
With enough of them, even the strongest supernatural being would be just like a fish on a cutting Under a heavy amount of Mana Blockers, even the strongest Supranatural couldn't do anything but be like fish on a cutting board, completely at the mercy of others.
Lucian counted the number of elf prisoners in the cart. There were probably hundreds. This many Mana Blockers weren't something a small family like the Browns could afford. After thinking for a while, Lucian couldn't figure anything out, so he just stopped thinking and helped Margarethe, one by one, unlock the elf prisoners' chains.
Months of imprisonment had made these elves hate humans a lot. If it wasn't for Margarethe talking to them, Lucian would probably be facing their anger first.
He shrugged his shoulders, knowing that the elves' feelings came from the Browns keeping them locked up. It made sense they didn't trust humans. But seeing so many of them, Lucian had a bad feeling in his gut.
"Doesn't Margarethe plan to turn on us?"
Lucian rubbed his chin. Even though he was a little worried in his heart, his face didn't show any emotion.
Then, after Margarethe checked on all the elves, she suddenly knelt down on one knee, not even caring about the blood on the ground, and whispered to Lucian.
"Lord Lucian Harrow, the Zelle tribe is willing to serve you!"
On the way back.
Lucian walked ahead, but his face was full of thinking.
The sudden loyalty of the Zelle tribe left him confused. Him and Margarethe's whole thing was just a deal. Now they suddenly wanted to serve him, and Lucian was actually a little unsure.
Something's wrong when things don't make sense.
He raised his ears and listened quietly behind him as the elves talked in small voices.
"Chieftain, are we really going to serve a human?"
An older elf bit her lip, looking at Lucian's broad back, her eyes full of hatred.
Even though she knew this human wasn't her enemy, he actually saved the Zelle tribe. But the long time in prison made them naturally distrust humans.
Plus, their own chieftain was now swearing loyalty to this human.
Margarethe sighed, "We lost the protection of the Tree of Life. To plant it again, we need to rest and recover. We need a safe place."
"Mr. Lucian is a good person."
As she spoke, she looked like she had thought of something, and her face suddenly turned a little red.
"Humans are all good at lying!" A small elf protested. "If it wasn't for those humans poisoning our water, we wouldn't have been caught!"
"Even the Tree of Life was destroyed by those humans!"
At this, the elf was angry, her face full of hatred.
The Tree of Life was the most important spiritual treasure of the elves. Destroying it wasn't just about not being able to connect with other elf tribes.
"Mr. Lucian is different," Margarethe sighed. She hesitated for a long time before continuing. "Do you remember the old elf legend?"
The other elves all looked shocked when they heard that.
"Margarethe, you mean him?"
