Chapter 31: Multiple Terminator T-1000s

27th Street, Knox Steel Mill.

As Marcus's containment tightened time and again, the Terminator T-1000's hiding place became increasingly limited, and it was gradually finding itself in a desperate situation.

Indeed, the Terminator T-1000's intelligence was extremely high; it was acutely aware of its predicament, but its processing system, after rapid calculations, couldn't find a way out.

In the central area of the Knox Steel Mill, the Terminator T-1000 transformed into a liquid, covering a steel cabinet, and then, through simulation, directly became the surface of that cabinet.

The details were incredibly accurate; even the rust, deformation, and dust on the cabinet's surface were simulated.

The Terminator T-1000 was in a terrible predicament!

Faced with Marcus's relentless pursuit, the Terminator T-1000 could only retreat repeatedly.

Less than ten minutes after the Terminator T-1000 covered the cabinet, field agents from the FBI's Los Angeles Terminator Division arrived at the center of the Knox Steel Mill.

Although the Terminator T-1000 remained in disguise, its detection systems were already operational, clearly detecting nine humans surrounding it.

"Deploy the flares!" Jackson shouted.

The other eight followed Jackson's orders, throwing flares that illuminated the last area of the Knox Steel Mill, naturally also illuminating the steel cabinet disguised as the Terminator T-1000.

"Team Two reporting, no target detected!"

"Team Three reporting, no target detected!"

The second and third teams reported in quick succession, indicating they had not detected the Terminator T-1000.

Jackson remained calm, reporting into his radio, "Boss, we've illuminated the entire steel mill, but haven't found the shapeshifter. Now we can send in the K-9 units!"

Marcus responded, "Go ahead."

The Terminator T-1000 heard the entire conversation between Jackson and Marcus. Its processing system quickly analyzed the situation; once the K-9 units entered the steel mill, it would be immediately exposed!

Faced with this situation, Terminator T-1000 had to make a decision: to wait or to engage?

The choices were simple.

Waiting was futile, while engaging offered a chance of completing the mission.

Besides, Terminator T-1000 wasn't programmed with self-preservation as a priority; its system only cared about completing the mission.

Terminator T-1000 calmly waited for its opportunity. When Jackson approached the steel cabinet, Terminator T-1000 finally launched a sudden attack, a sharp blade protruding from the cabinet.

However, Jackson remained highly vigilant, and coupled with Terminator T-1000's slightly slow transformation speed, he narrowly avoided the blade's attack.

"Engage!" After dodging Terminator T-1000, Jackson called for the other Terminator agents to launch an attack.

Marcus had devised a series of measures against Terminator T-1000, such as equipping the Terminator agents with liquid nitrogen sprayers.

Now that the Terminator T-1000 has been discovered, the Terminator Division's field agents are attacking it with liquid nitrogen sprayers.

Faced with the ultra-low temperature of liquid nitrogen, even the Terminator T-1000 is vulnerable!

The Terminator T-1000 is rapidly frozen by the liquid nitrogen; the liquid metal loses its ability to transform, turning into an ice sculpture in just a few seconds.

Jackson taps the rigid Terminator T-1000 with his flare and orders, "Keep an eye on it. If it starts to thaw, spray it with liquid nitrogen!"

"Roger that."

"Understood."

"Haha, this Terminator T-1000 is supposed to be more advanced and powerful than the Terminator T-800, but it's still completely neutralized!"

The Terminator Division's field agents chatter amongst themselves.

Jackson reports over the radio, "Boss, we've captured the Terminator T-1000. You can arrange for transport vehicles to come in. This Terminator T-1000 is completely immobilized!" Jackson says confidently.

Marcus warned, "Don't let your guard down! Replenish it with liquid nitrogen regularly. We have plenty of liquid nitrogen reserves, don't worry about conserving it."

"Don't worry, boss, I guarantee there won't be any problems here," Jackson replied.

Outside the Knox Steel Mill, Marcus put down the radio and ordered his personnel to go in and transport the Terminator T-1000.

A mere Terminator T-1000, even a powerful liquid metal machine, wouldn't be able to cause any trouble when facing coordinated tactics, would it?

"Director Foster, Team Leader Jackson is in trouble." A field agent from the Terminator Division rushed out of the Knox Steel Mill and quickly jogged towards Marcus.

Marcus was taken aback. He recognized the field agent; his name was Barrett, a member of Team Seven. But logically, shouldn't Barrett be inside the Knox Steel Mill?

Before the operation, Marcus had given strict orders: the three members of each team were not allowed to separate, and all operations had to be carried out together to minimize the risk of being impersonated by the Terminator T-1000.

However, it's clearly not right that Barrett is coming out of the Knox Steel Mill alone!

Besides, even if Jackson really encountered trouble, even if Jackson's radio malfunctioned, it should have been reported by another team leader via radio.

Furthermore, even if the radio was broken and Barrett really needed to come out and report, his first action upon seeing Marcus would be to exchange passwords, not to report the problem directly to Marcus.

According to Marcus's regulations, field agents of the Terminator Division must exchange passwords upon rejoining the team after leaving their line of sight.

In the case of Barrett's actions, exchanging passwords is even more necessary before explaining what happened.

"Director Foster, we were attacked by a large number of T-800s, they..."

"Bang!"

Barrett's report was interrupted by a gunshot.

Marcus personally shot Barrett in the left shoulder, but Barrett didn't fall down. Instead, a small, silvery liquid crater appeared on his left shoulder and quickly healed.

"Hmph!" Marcus snorted.

Marcus was not surprised by this outcome. He waved his right hand to signal for an attack.

The FBI agents stationed outside immediately deployed liquid nitrogen.

The unfortunate Terminator T-1000 was instantly frozen into a statue, and then the FBI agents used tools to put it into a transparent, high-strength polymer containment box.

This high-strength polymer enclosure was a cage specially prepared by Marcus for the Terminator T-1000. As long as the liquid nitrogen supply system was connected, the Terminator T-1000 would remain frozen.

"Jackson, is your Terminator T-1000 secure?" Marcus asked through the radio.

"Everything's secure, it's frozen solid!" Jackson replied.

Marcus glanced again at the Terminator T-1000 already locked in the high-strength polymer enclosure and warned, "Everyone, be careful, there's more than one Terminator T-1000!"

Jackson had captured one Terminator T-1000, and Marcus had captured one too. Just how many Terminator T-1000s had arrived this time?
